Itinerary (B = breakfast, D = dinner)

 

DAY 1: ATHENS Arrival at the Athens International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the city. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 2: ATHENS (B) After breakfast, depart on an Athens city tour which will introduce you to the most important sites of the city. You will visit the famed Acropolis with its dominating view, and the site of the renowned Parthenon, one of the most impressive structures in the world, followed by a visit to the Acropolis Museum. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 3: ATHENS (B) Day at leisure. You may embark on an optional tour, a shopping spree in the fashionable shops of nearby Kolonaki Square or, simply join the locals and relax by enjoying a cup of strong coffee and watch the people bustling about as they tend to the every day affairs of this modern city. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 4: ATHENS - OLYMPIA (B,D) After breakfast, early morning departure by air conditioned motor-coach to start on a historical Tour of Greece. A drive via the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop) and cross over to the Peloponnese

Continue on to Mycenae to visit the Palace, the Lion Gate and the Beehive Tombs of King Agamemnon. Then on to Epidarus to visit the world renowned theater. Short stop at the picturesque town of Nafplion. Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnese towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.

DAY 5: OLYMPIA - DELPHI (B,D) In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum of Olympia. You will also see one of the greatest sculptures of all time, "Hermes" by Praxiteles.Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia, reaching the magnificent bridge crossing from Peloponnese the Corinthian Sea to Antirion. Pass through the picturesque towns of Nafpactos, Itea and Galaxidi with a stop for lunch. Arrive at Delphi. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: DELPHI - METEORA (B,D) Today visit the Delphi Archaeological Site, the Castilian Spring and the Sancturary of Athena Pronoia and Museum. Lunch at local restaurant. depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing natural gigantic rock formations complex of Meteora. Meteora - Kalambaka

DAY 7: KALAMBAKA - ATHENS (B) After breakfast visit Meteora amongst the striking scenery, perched on top of huge rock formations which seem suspended in mid-air. Meteora which is a cluster of monastic buildings perched in an unforgettable manner on a set of rising rock formations. Here stand ageless Monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine Art. Lunch. Departure for Athens, through Trikala and Lamia. Pass by The Thermopile (where the famous battle of the 300 brave Spartans took place against the Persians) and Kamena Vourla. Evening arrival at Athens and check in at your hotel. 

DAY 8: ATHENS - MYKONOS (B) Transfer to port for your ferryboat ride to the island of Mykonos. Arrival in Mykonos and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 9: MYKONOS (B) Day at leisure to explore the most famous of the Cycladic islands. Its rustic wind-mills, churches, white-washed houses, beautiful beaches and the cosmopolitan nightlife have made Mykonos the island of choice for the rich and famous of the world.

DAY 10: MYKONOS (B) Day at leisure. You may simply relax on one of the nearby beaches, or take a short boat trip to nearby Delos, the legendary birthplace of the ancient God Apollo.

DAY 11: MYKONOS - SANTORINI (B) Today you transfer to Mykonos port for your short ferryboatride to Santorini island. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 12: SANTORINI (B) Day at leisure. The main town, Fira, is a bustling place which invites every one to shop, stroll through its streets or enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants overlooking the volcanic site below.

DAY 13: SANTORINI (B) Full day at leisure to enjoy this distinctive island. Santorini, also known as the Island of Atlantis, has excavations at Akrotiri, a dormant volcano and the black sand beaches. You may enjoy relaxing at the beach and in the evening taking in the sights and sounds of the nightlife in town.

DAY 14: SANTORINI - DEPARTURE (B) Transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
